BBQ Shrimp and Grits

Shrimp Skewers made with Habanero Peach BBQ Sauce




1 cup heavy cream

2 cups whole milk

1 cup water

1 TBSP salt

1 cup Coarse Ground Grits

½ tsp black pepper

4 TBSP unsalted butter

4 oz. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

1 oz. Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Combine first four ingredient in a heavy bottom pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling slowly add in grits while whisking. Once incorporated cover and turn heat to low. Continue to whisk grits every 4 to 5 minutes to keep them smooth. After cooking for about 20 minutes add in butter and whisk until melted. Now stir in cheese to melt and serve.




1 lb. Shrimp (Peeled and Deveined) – I like 21-25 for this recipe but you can always use bigger if you like.

2 TBSP Old Bay Seasoning

1 Cup Habanero Peach BBQ Sauce

Soak skewers in water for about an hour before grilling to help prevent burning while on the grill. Heat grill to about 400 degrees. Place shrimp on skewers and sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning. Place skewers on grill for 3 minutes per side. After you have grilled them on both sides for 3 minutes each brush one side with bbq sauce and leave for about a minute then flip and do the same on other side. Remove from grill and serve over your grits. You can add more sauce after removing them from the grill if you like.
